It’s already debunked. They used soundboxes, once created for a Metallica show, that’s it, that’s the story. It’s just sexier to say that Metallica saved them.

the new stage has been built by StageCo which was founded in Belgium in the 80s, to build stages for the then fledgling Torhout/Werchter festival.
they’ve known huge international growth, and are now also the stagebuilders for Metallica’s tours. part of which is used in Tomorrowland.
