Who the hell runs this service? Even in a small sample size, the amount of waste is dire. Extremely badly run.
Could you imagine what would be found if they did a proper Finance Committee investigation like they did to Rte. I’d say millions in waste, misappropriation etc every year.
Why does a single organisation (HSE) have multiple financial systems able to pay invoices?
1 organisation, 1 financial department/system surely?
I’d imagine this is just the tip of the iceberg. Like every publicly funded body in this country, there’s a huge amount of incompetent staff that don’t understand the meaning of accountability or consequences.
If you work in Lidl as a regular low paid staff and your till is off euro or 2 you will get in trouble, if you work as an executive and make 720k mistake and don’t even try to recover it, you go about your day as if nothing happened.
Just WTF?
If I was doing a job for a hospital and I saw that they had paid my invoice twice, I’d get back to them and tell them that they made a mistake because I would not think it right to steal money FROM A FUCKING HOSPITAL!!! So who where these snakes that said nothing?
