Ciao, sono italiano e nell’inverno del 2024-2025 stavo visitando temporaneamente la Germania e ho avuto un’emergenza medica, sono stato messo nell’unità di terapia intensiva e poi in un ospedale psichiatra. All’ospedale psichiatrico hanno cercato di prendere la mia carta di assicurazione sanitaria e l’hanno fatta, ma non ha funzionato. Mi hanno detto che dovevo inviare una foto alla mia compagnia assicurativa, ma ora è arrivato per posta. Non ho modo di pagarlo e non voglio nei guai legali. cosa dovrei fare?

Call your insurance company.
My father went through something similar last year, in that, he came to germany had to go to the ER and they had problems proccessing his insurance card. What he did is that he tried to settle it with the insurance company in greece and got a signed document that he is indeed insured within the EU and sent it to the hospital in germany. He didn’t have to pay anything by the end, i’d suggest you either do the same or try and contact the hospital you were in.
You should run to the woods and hope they never find you.
You could also contact your insurance at the time and let them sort it out, but personally I prefer the woods solution.
