If there is some kind of connection after all, then it must be the case that other countries with fewer riots also have fewer incidents of domestic violence, by analogy of how you get fewer workplace accidents by reducing near-misses.
How did countries that have successfully reduced domestic violence do it?
Ad hominem is a fallacy. Their history doesn’t invalidate their concerns, which even by these numbers are shared by 60% of “non criminal” population that participated.
Besides, how have they arrived at these figures anyway? Did they go to each of them and get their details, document their total number, then go the police and request their criminal records?
Stop gaslighting the rest of country into believing they’re bigoted/far right for being concerned about undocumented fighting age men from hostile cultures roaming running free around the country. Especially when quite a few of these people have been working illegally, engaging in petty theft, or in some cases even criminal activities.
We still live in a democracy, or whatever’s left of it; and people would continue to exercise the right to protest and have their opinion heard. So until we’re in a Guardian wet dream communist dictatorship – suck it up!
Edit: just to clear it up – I do not condone the violence, but let’s not pretended it’s only the far right loonies that are concerned about unchecked illegal migration. Guardian propaganda pieces like this one does just that.

I think we should be doing more of this. Connecting the dots on criminal behaviour. Understanding what fuels hate and violence.
Shock news just in – people arrested for violence likely to have previously been violent. In next news – people arrested for shoplifting have almost certainly done it before.
I imagine they were arrested due to being known to police, which leads to skewed figures.
The party with a recently ex MP with a record of domestic violence attracts supporters of a similar type, shock, horror.
