Sorry for Hungarians, but in this situation :

OR they kick off Orby and put Peter Magyar as their leader normalising the situation

OR we have to take drastic measures like expel them or restrict their vote right.

      Not because we hate them

But because the blocking of vital matters like this and the lowing the bar at democratic standards and Russia (And china and US far right, Hungary have infiltration from all of them) interference in Europe is an existential matter for the European stability and future and cannot be ignored.

The EU is a very procedurally oriented organisation. It would be incredibly funny if, at the relevant meeting to discuss any objections to the budget, the speaker asks if there are any. In response to the Hungarian and/or Slovakian representative wanting to intervene, the speaker simply notes that there aren’t any and moves on.

On a more serious note: this should simply require a joint statement by Merz and Macron, whose countries account for roughly two thirds of net contributions, that it’s their way or the highway.

It is astonishing that he is always thinking of ways to sabotage any EU agreement, whether justified or not.

I’m sick of all this EU, NATO, and UN bullshit where they cannot make anything happen because something is hurting some one feelings, something is not ethical or someone begs for money. A unity where every child must accept every step so you can wipe ass the right way. Useless crap that cost us money. Fire everyone on the spot!

Maybe Europe should just completely kick Hungary
out of the EU replace them with Canada

He did say this. The blackmail is back. This motherfcker is ruining our country.

By that time he won’t be the prime minister of Hungary.

By that time he will be in Moscow or in jail.

How many years the EU will put up with this nonsense???

    12. Whyn0t69 on

Needing 100% votes for anything is so stupid. It should be 2/3+1

    13. Ok-Cartoonist-4458 on

Suspend Hungary voting right please. Orban will cheat in the 2026 election and try to bring the russians just like in 1956

    14. Nerdmigo on

Why is Hungary under Orben even in the EU, they share non of the ideas and moral values of the EU

    15. trollsmurf on

“”The current leadership of the EU will always be the last to sign deals with the United States and always the worst deals,” Orban added, urging a change in the bloc’s leadership.”

      He’s very likely not wrong.

    16. Typingdude3 on

He’s part of the Putinist Russian cancer thats spreading across the west and everyone seems powerless to stop it. When Russia and China find a weak spot, they exploit it. Orban is a huge weak spot.

    17. Xibalba_Ogme on

Isn’t that the guy that used EU funds to renovate castles and pretend to build a server farm near Budapest ?

And he’s *check notes* asking Europe for more money ?

    18. mastermindman99 on

2,7M Orban voters are holding 450M Europeans hostage. Enough!

    19. DefInnit on

The EU budget is for 2028-2034. Holding out until Hungary’s 2026 elections is not ideal but possible.

    20. Eternal__damnation on

If polling is correct Orban will be far from the levers of power, either behind bars or in moscow assad style before the budget would need to be approved, so this is nothing but an empty threat

    21. OwnRepresentative916 on

The 2026 Hungarian election is going to be a historic inflection point for the entire continent

    22. snowsuit101 on

He also says democracy isn’t important when it comes to keeping the “balance” between Russia and Western Europe by not allowing Ukraine to be part of the west, and that the EU leadership must be replaced. The guy represents Russia within the EU.

    23. I mean… Not that I like it but it makes sense, why would he back a budget if he’s not getting anything.

    24. PineappleEasy6035 on

It would be interesting to know the reactions from political parties aligned with Orban from countries that benefit from EU funding
