Anyone hear rte radio 1 on Thursday evening where a guy called Jonathan turner from uk lawyers for israel was arguing that Ireland should not adopt the OTB? If ever you needed convincing that we definitely should adopt I’d recommend listening back to that interview, that guy was just spewing the most obvious lies and even tried to make the case that the biggest health issue in Gaza was obesity. A nasty evil little bollocks and very representative of israel

    2. I like the idea of this on paper but obviously am quite concerned we’re underestimating the level of backlash from Israeli interests in the US. Practically also would imagine we’ll just get cut off from lots of services people use in order for companies to be compliant. They’ll cut off the Irish market over moving the service provision from Israel.

My singular issue with this bill is that it didn’t ban trade with all illegal settlements across the globe like Frances Blacks’ version. I’m sure there is some explanation for that, but it would be a better bill overall if it did.
