Russia is bankrupting itself for for no quantifiable gain.
I absolutely don’t believe in it, I think that the mistakes of the USSR have been learned, spending 20% of its GDP on the army when you are not at war is not a viable economy, and Putin said it well, Russia will now focus on real and not abstract threats. NATO can spend 10% of its GDP, they won’t be fooled this time
This announcement must be seen as a political move to scare Europeans into sending weapons
Ah yes, Russia has trillions of free money.
That’s several times above their entire national budget.
What about the natural Resources the have? And plus the Resource in Donbas? I don’t think they will be bankrupt soon. Unfortunately
I don’t think that’s possible without collapsing their economy completely.
Wonder where they’ll be pulling that money from?

Russia is the cuntiest country in the world.
They don’t want any friends, they only want enemies. If they’re not dominating or subjugating others they feel weak. It’s honestly a pathetic existence.
They need another revolution

Russia is a paper tiger that is spending a lot but the huge inefficiencies in its military forces and how they operate means that most of that spending will result in a 0.25X smaller impact. And this is before we even take into account how much of that investment will be effectively stolen by the putrid corruption infecting all areas of Russian society.
So all in all, Europe just needs to spend 0.5 to 0.75 of how much Russia is spending to get more bang for the buck.
How are they going to spend 50% of their GDP?
The problem is not If Russia can win, but how much can take damages. Russia is a terrorist state.
If Russia has 5 million trained reservists why aren’t they calling them up now for the special military operation?
