For everything else there’s Mastercard, has a new meaning.
Happened in UK too
I was chatting to a lad working in Centra earlier and he told me they were grand. No issues at all with any cards but he’d heard about the issues in the other places.
Lidl wouldn’t take my AIB debit card, but it accepted my AIB credit card.
But the debit card was fine for petrol a bit later.
What’s amazing is I was in Aldi at the time. I’d read it was Visa causing the problem. I wasn’t even allowed to try my Revolut. They kept saying no cards, it won’t take cards at all. Then they kept trying to process the cards of people who had gone through the till.
I finally persuaded them to try my Revolut and it went through on the first go.
