      Why don’t we have mugshots in Ireland?

      This lad has 65 convictions and is going to jail for rape yet you could be sitting beside him on a bus and be none the wiser.

      Best we can hope for is that some photographer with RTE or one of the papers catches a shot of him running out of court with his hood up.

      I don’t understand the term restorative justice being used here. He’s got 6.5 years, and will engage with probation services. How are they helping the victim here beyond this scumbag going to prison, when in all likelihood he’ll be out in 4 years?
