Sono un ragazzo inglese che vive a Cork negli ultimi 21 anni e mi sto facendo un po ‘nella lavorazione del legno. Mio figlio (8) mi ha suggerito di fare un Hurley.
Ora, non so quasi nulla di GAA, o lanciando, ho appena tenuto un lancio (a parte le dimensioni junior di mio figlio) prima di questo esercizio, e ho mai visto solo 2 partite di lancio (Tipp che batte Kilkenny in tutta l’Irlanda per prevenire il 5 in fila e Tipp che batteva il tappo il mese scorso).
Qualcuno mi ha gentilmente venduto un paio di assi di cenere, quindi ora ho il mio primo (forse il primo in assoluto), l’inglese ha fatto Hurley.

Good on you. Go to the beach, use it to hit stones out to sea, very satisfying way to spend an hour or two imo.

Make it from willow for more trigger. Also consider calling it a “hurley bat”.
Looks like a fine effort on a modern hurley to me, but I’m from a generation that was used to a smaller bas and longer handle.
