      It speaks of the job he’s been doing until know that it’s still in the high 50s. It was a ridiculous, unforced error, politically, strategically and morally.

      Still, it’s a salient reminder that the man is a man, falliable and not a Hero. Hero-worship leads to authoritarianism.

      i wonder if putin is dragging out the war to ensure zelensky doesnt get reelected, although i think the alternatives of zaluzhny or poroshenko would be even worse for russia, zelensky was always their best option.

      The ends don’t justify the means in every case. Don’t be blind. A democracy stays healthy by worshiping actions, not worshiping people. If the people you like make bad actions call them out on it. Don’t give them a pass. Force them to stay good people.

      The loss of trust never was worth it. Every single employee could have been a russian asset and **the way they did it** would still not have been worth it.
