Why would there be any free parking at the children’s hospital?
Can they even drive?

Great time to pay another 500 million for an additional 5 parking slots

I tell you right now, those free car park spaces will not exist as 319 for the staff will not be enough….

Sure didn’t they say when it was announced that people coming from rural Ireland could get the Luas in from the Red Cow. This is about the worst possible location for a “National” anything let alone a Children’s hospital.

You could add a zero to that and it won’t be enough. I work in hospitals all over the country and I can tell you I’ll be avoiding this place alongside Crumlin, St James, Mater Public and Temple St.
People with sick family members don’t want to getting on a bus.

Shock horror, who could have predicted putting a children’s hospital for the whole country on an already overcrowded site would lead to parking problems. But our excellent public transport system will meet the needs, oh wait the kids are to sick to travel from Kerry to Dublin by bus. Sure we just never thought of that. Had a terrible time travelling to Crumlin and trying to get parking this is going to be so much worse.

By the time it is open with actual patients we will all be using people carrying drones that will drop us there and then fly away.

It’s expensive being sick in Ireland.
What’s the public transport like in the area?
