Once again, our justice system has failed yet another victim of sexual assault. The predator was handed a suspended prison sentence and essentially slapped on the wrist with what’s probably a month’s salary for them. This is an utter joke and I wish there was something we could do to bring proper justice to the victim, I am disgusted with how much our country protects sexual predators, it’s abhorrent.
I think it is even worse to read that the victim of a second rape, a minor, was left without justice and her case was closed, against her hopes to get her day in court.
What a shame.
Make it 15 years at least. Wth
With a prison sentence of at least 1 year you lose your job as public official. That’s not nothing. (Or is that only for 1 year of “prison ferme”)
