I don’t know what we don’t have a ‘report as spam/scam’ button… those revolut robo calls are driving me nuts… and of course the usual An Post customs texts…
Never answer a call from a number not expected or otherwise unknown. Just screen it, if it’s legit they’ll leave their details (which you can at least try to verify as legit).
Hello, John!
This is an Android feature where they display the business name that the phone number is associated to on Google business. Press that “was this a business” and report it.
I’ve reported and deleted more than twenty calls in the last couple of weeks; my own fault, I put my name and number enquiring about something I thought was legit, but wasn’t. Fake numbers from UK, Netherlands, and Ireland.
Pixel phones have the call screening function. It’s a godsend. They are also really good at filtering spam texts.
Anyone got a text from a UK number reading “Can we have a quick chat”? I’m 99% sure it’s spam but naturally my mind starts guessing every possible reason someone might need to contact me.
But these days fuck them – if they text they can leave a message saying who they are and if its an unknown number I won’t even think twice about it.
I barely answer voice calls from people I know. lol @ answering one from a different country
I had a mad one last week. An email apparently from my boss, singling me out by name. Trying to rush me urgently to fix a bug on the site.
Straight to spam.
I don’t answer calls from anyone not in my contacts. If they want me that badly, they can send a bloody email.
Report it on your phone. They’re quite likely just spoofing that business’s landline phone number though.
Ive had a couple of calls from a UK number today and didn’t answer
