> Reform UK’s vetting process requires their parliamentary candidates to undergo psychiatric testing to assess mental health and check for problem behaviour.
> Candidates identified as having “behavioural issues” are ruled out from standing for the party, PoliticsHome understands.
> According to one senior party source the psychiatric test is also used to identify future leaders and will help the party to “avoid another Rupert Lowe” incident.
I don’t think that’s a bad idea, could work for all parties.
Lowe’s comment is telling:
> When approached for comment Lowe told PoliticsHome: “I won’t take any lectures on behavioural issues from a party that is happy to put a bloke in a women’s prison.”
> He added: “Reform is a steaming woke mess.”

Reminder that Rupert Lowe ended up being suspended for daring to question Farage’s leadership and won’t be allowed back into the party because he’s critical of Farage.
That’s Nigel Farage, the **unelected** leader of Reform who backs giving tax breaks to rich foreigners at a cost of £34bn for the British people and thinks abortion laws are currently too relaxed.
Still cannot fathom how he’s so popular…

I wonder if James McMurdock had to do this testing? Did his previous conviction for kicking his girlfriends head in help or hinder his “career” with Reform?

An evaluation of all MP’s is a good idea – although it really does depend on who is doing the psychiatric testing and what they are looking for. Have a chat down at the local with Jeff and Steve over a few pints isn’t what I have in mind.

What exactly is it they didn’t like about Rupert Lowe?
Other than he was starting to become more popular than Farage, and that hurt Farage’s ego.

I actually quite like Rupert Lowe.
He keeps popping up on my socials and I cannot disagree with what he is posting. He seems to get a lot of support from his constituency.

Reform had the same problems UKIP had. There is next to no background checks. That is why you get many loons cropping up in their ranks.
