Spero che questo vada bene chiedere! Sto cercando specificamente aiuto con il discernimento delle lettere tedesche nella parola corsiva. La data commemora il 1915 ma questo proviene da circa la seconda guerra mondiale. Il subreddit tedesco non consente le immagini:/ e sento che un oratore di prima lingua sarebbe in grado di discernere lo stile della calligrafia, e quindi quali lettere sono. Qualcuno può aiutare ??

I think its a signature. Weihs is a somewhat common surname. So someone named E. Weihs.
At the top it says (in German, in cursive): Zum Andenken (“In memory of” or “As a keepsake”).
Then there’s the date, and underneath that a signature I unfortunately can’t decipher.
I’ll try to do a bit of research myself to see if anything else turns up. If you can add information about who it might have come from or the kind of event it might commemorate, that would be very helpful.
