Good result, and ridiculous he was pushing manslaughter.

Sends a good message – you go and stab somebody in the fucking heart, then you’re clearly intending to do harm tantamount to murder (I.e., GBH)

Good! Another creature of the streets and hopefully for a long time. They really should name them though – anybody wicked enough to carry an illegal knife *does* intend to use it, so name and shame!

Good. Only cowards use knives. Hope he’s named and shamed and rots in a cell for decades

They’re still not naming him? He’s almost legally an adult and the entire school community named who did it immediately and shared his photo online. Why are we protecting the murderer?

What was the manslaughter argument? “I only meant to playfully stab him in the chest”? How the hell can you realistically say that carrying a knife to a conflict and using it is not murder?

There’s a podcast called The Trial: High School Stabbing that has covered this trial start to finish. It’s very good and worth a listen.

Shame on the one juror who didn’t find him guilty of murder.
Bringing a knife into a school is, in of itself, a pre-meditated act.

So many steps are involved in stabbing somebody to death in broad daylight, and there are so many opportunities to simply not do it. It’s very hard to reasonably argue it was simply manslaughter in the heat of the moment.

People like that one juror walk among us, and are a massive reason why society is so soft on violent disorder and thuggery. It only needs a handful of people to mollycoddle kids instead of setting them straight for them to think they can get away with it.

Most of us got bullied one way or another at school, and went through some form of abuse at home. It was the unfortunate normality of growing up. Yet most of us born pre 2000 didn’t go around stabbing because of it. Kids nowadays are too soft and emotional and quick to grab a knife thinking it will sort their problems. Because, in my opinion, they’re stuck on devices from an early age and don’t know how to interact with others. Parents not letting kids play together to stimulate their minds. Rather just throw a phone in their face from the get go.

I’m for one, not looking forward to being a dad, because I’d hate to be a parent to either of these kids, a dead one or a murdering one.

    9. What kind of idiot does this. He must have learning difficulties or something. Do these people not realise killing someone will impact their own lives. By the sounds of it he showed no remorse afterwards, it’s just scary really.
