There were some discussions about a “U.S. company is set to gain exclusive rights to develop and manage the Zangezur Corridor through Armenia, as part of a broader agreement brokered by the U.S. between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The U.S. will be granted “exclusive special development rights” for 99 years, and will then sublease the land to a consortium for infrastructure development, including rail, oil, gas, and fiber optic lines.”
