The O’Connell hairpin should be renamed to “Two Eurdo for a hostel” hairpin.

jaysis thats an awfu track full of 90 degree turns.

Pearse St through to Dame Street is a natural chicane at the front of Trinity College and Church Street over the river leads into a long uphill sweeping bend towards Christchurch which isnt that dissimilar to the famous hill at Spa.

It would be an even more boring race than Monaco. There are no overtaking opportunities.

There was already a circuit that used to race in phoenix park I believeĀ

You’d need Automan’s car for some of those corners.

An F1 event here would bring the country to its knees. I hope it never comes here

There was actual plans for an F1 street race in 1992.

“The route proposed was a 2.3 mile circuit from the East Wall Road over Annesley Bridge, into Fairview, and then turning right on the link road between Clontarf and East Wall.”

      Would have been cool.

Judging by the roads listed it would be a very tight circuit and with the current regs and even the upcoming regs would be basically Monaco without the harbour full of yachts.

Now for Formula E you could argue it would work better as they have successful City Tracks in London and Berlin as well as the more traditional circuits

Not using the phoenix park for part of the circuit is criminal.

One of the most beautiful landscapes in the world …and we use Dublin city centre?

F1 track designer Herman Tilke worked on designing a Dublin Street circuit at one point, I think was gonna be for A1 GP

“Box box. Box box, Max. We’ve got a syringe in the tyre coming onto Fenian St”

We’d be better off developing Mondello or building a new track at the end of a rail line.
