      At some point, ye kinda have to go “Ok, so what the fuck are you going to do? This is what we believe is right, regardless of the threats of punishment for having oilur own morals. So we’re passing it.”

      Hasn’t Slovenia just done this? Maybe waiting until they weren’t the first country was the strategic plan all along.

      I like pushing through, as even if we give in now. I imagine the US will just see this as confirmation that they can threaten you whenever to get their way. As all they now have is a stick.

      FG need a new leader, this is madness. It does nothing for the Palestinians other than yet another gesture, and comes with severe risks to the Irish economy. It burns diplomatic goodwill for very little benefit.

      This has gotten more attention than it deserves to be honest. The people that tabled the boycott are absolute whack jobs 

      There are fringe Republicans that are stupider and more insane than the actual administration is.

      Please, please, please stop delaying on this. I want to be proud of Ireland and I want us to be that little corner of the world that tells the bullies to fuck off.

      I learned as a small child that you must fight bullies as hard as you can even if you yourself get hurt in the process because only then do they think twice about continuing to lash out.

      It’s unfortunate that we will face negative economic consequences for a symbolic bill, but at some stage you just have to do something, anything, to oppose the genocide. Nobody can really do anything substantive except Trump, so we all just have to do the little we can.
