Would this be unless deportation means violating ECHR? Ie if the criminal claims they will be persecuted upon arrival in their native country

£54k a year per foreign prisoner when they make up 12% of the total population.
That’s more than double my salary and I’m a public servant.
This may piss people off but it’s necessary I think. And very right wing for any Labour government.
Where will they be deported to? Will the receiving nation recognise our courts conviction?
