Benefits claims amongst all age groups have hit record high with the highest rise seen in young adults 16-29, overall under 40’s have seen a 150% increase in claims since COVID. The only surprise here that The Graph has went not only after the demographic that has seen the least increase in relative terms but also the one the represents their readers the most probably….

The poor don’t pay enough tax. All the tax burden is falling on the middle. But that tax burned is becoming too high. The super rich can’t be taxed as they can always move their wealth elsewhere.
What we need to do is cut benefits. Cut more and more national services. With the poor under pressure you can then apply more pressure on the middle to ensure more wealth goes to the very top where it belongs.
Only by preserving and increasing wealth at the very top can you preserve the entire system. If the entire system breaks then those at the top and bottom suffer and nobody wants that.
That is why the poor and middle must take a hit to preserve the top.

Getting employment over 55 is really difficult. Much easier to get a medical early retirement or benefits so this is hardly surprising. Realistically it should be making roles available for younger people at least.
Raising the pension age is only going to make this more prominent too.

If you increase pension age, the elderly will claim unemployment and will have health conditions for disability benefits.
Increasing the pension age and longer life expectancy doesn’t correlate to peoples ability to work at older ages.
