It’s the only store in CZ that I actively and purposefully avoid.

    2. Not sure… The last time I shopped there was like 10 years ago, because it was pretty much the worst shop in the town where I lived.

      Even worse than Tesco.

I don’t mind. There are two markets – both the same corporation. One is good one is bad – no fresh veggies, can’t find what the other one has. No regional food. So it’s more about location.

I avoid Billa, but for different reasons. Lot’s of loco hobos and junkies

Sadly it’s the nearest supermarket to my flat, and I unwillingly shop there – every time with regret.

Uvede mě někdo do obrazu? Proč nemáme rádi Billu? Davovou nenávist podpořím, ale ať aspoň vím proč.

I don’t have a problem with Billa. You can get quality food there, they have a wide selection… But ours has bad staff.

I don’t like Billa. But I’ve got one across the street, so when I really REALLY need something, I’ll go there, otherwise I’ll go take a walk to nearby Lidl

No Billa is actually one of that better stores

If I should name a store i hate its totaly Albert

I wouldn’t say hate but whenever there is a close by alternative, I rather choose that.

Last year they built an Albert (grocery store chain operating in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland) in my town and I haven’t been to Billa since.

Rewe stores suck in general but at least Penny accepts its role on the market and doesn’t try to be fancy. They sell cheap booze, smokes and groceries of questionable quality and they know it. That’s how you do business.

    13. Our closest Billa currently under the flag of “being not wasteful” does not heat up the new batch of pastry after 6pm. Just place there a sign into designed basket. For a store opened till 9pm I find it ridiculous.

Billa Billa is the store that barely makes a living because only people from the surrounding housings go shopping there. And according to the comments, it’s their business tactic.

So much hate on all shops here, so where do you people prefer to shop? Help a fellow out.

Za mě, drahý, málo zboží, nepřehledný, nejsou samoobslužky. Podobně jako Penny. Obchod co zaspal dobu a nenabízí nic co není jinde, ale Billa to má za dráž. Preferuju Globus a Kaufland.

    17. Substantial-One1024 on

No, we hate it in a different way. Here it’s actually quite expensive.

Ofc, let me just warm up my hate muscles in the morning

Penny is the worst, I disliked Billa in the past, but lately they really did work on the overall aesthetic and the clean look. Prices are not good, but I don’t mind going there when the necessity arises. I will keep on hating Penny Marker though

    20. Heebicka on

no, they have one of my favourite wines for a very nice price with quick delivery for reasonable price

As a Czech living in Austria (and a member of r/scheissaufnbilla), at least in CZE they haven’t started with the stupid Pickerl that are bound to the app/jö Karte. In Austria, the 25 % off of goods that expire the same day is a joke, as well as bread from “yesterday” for half the price. Old baked goods, mouldy articles, overpriced everything… Will rather go to SPAR. Overall, I would say Billa in Austria is worse than in CZE. There I would put Tesco and Penny as winners of the “Crappiest store” contest.
