Can someone explain why GPs are not exempt from employers national insurance? Does the NHS also pay employers national insurance?

So we’ve got qualified GPs driving taxis while at the same time nobody can get an appointment to see a GP. Amazing country.

Is there actual evidence of a single GP working as a taxi driver or is this hypoethical.

Reminder that most GP surgeries are privately run but publicly funded. If you’re wondering why you’re seeing more nurses or pharmacists than doctors, it’s because they can service/charge for more patients for the same budget. Nurses are cheaper than GPs. There are also funding incentives for hiring people in roles other than Doctors.

      So yeah, maximise profits.
