Is this the same one that wants to ban the sale of pointed knives ‘because rounded ones are safer’?
Because I kinda get the impression they shouldn’t be allowed any input into any decision ever.

I can’t even imagine how awful it is to have something like that happen to your child, only to have some nasty fuckers try and turn it into some political football
The dog whistling going about these days is horrendous

Let the government and police decide the best policies to govern the public.
Why is the grandfather of a murdered child, trying to use that murder to score political points against Farage in a national newspaper. Let your child, who has lost their own baby to a horrific terror attack, grieve in peace without trying to make it about you.

what I don’t get is, why do people want the ethnicities of suspects released?
I 100% understand and agree that we should have publicly available and anonymised crime statistics that anybody can look up which include ethnicity. We should confront that there may be a link between nationality/culture and certain crime.
But why do people want to know *on a case by case basis* the ethnicity of *suspects* of any *given crime*? What’s the reason? (I suspect it’s so they can decide whether to kick off about it or not every single time.)

This is the exact issue! If mental health facilities and resources had been funded properly this would never have happened. Good on the family for speaking sense, especially when the far right is trying to use them to score political points.

To be able to speak out like this in favour of justice (not revealing ethnicities of SUSPECTS, who are NOT CRIMINALS, JUST ACCUSED) is heroic behaviour. Despite the pain of your child being murdered, you speak out on a topic you shouldn’t even need to address because it’s so laughably stupid, to ensure justice is still being upheld in the United Kingdom.
Honourable man and a lot of these “it’s a left wing agenda” types in this comment section make me sick, they are complete traitors to our country parading themselves as patriots.

Is this the same The Guardian that claimed that “White men” where behind the grooming gangs, an information that was revealed wrong this year? So when does the ethnicity is important for The Guardian?
