SIPO non indagherà Ken O’Flynn per presunti commenti di viaggiatore

In a decision published on Thursday, the Standards in Public Office Commission (Sipo) said it should not proceed to an investigation over the interview on Red FM in June 2021, when the Independent Ireland TD was a councillor.

The Red FM broadcast related to the Spring Lane halting site in Ballyvolane. 

It was alleged that he had stated: “What are they now? An ethnic minority?” in reference to Travellers.

Unbelievable that something like this would warrant such a reaction and involve the ethics watchdog, when the horror of what happened to that horse, and the resulting incident, in Dublin city centre will never be mentioned again.

Not a peep from the rights groups and no repercussions for those involved. Such a sweet deal certain “sensitive” members of our society have.
