Is she jumping ship to Corbyns party? Or are Labour just done with her?

I’m torn on this one. She is now getting old and she’s made plenty of stupid comments over the years. On the other hand it seems like a deeply factional decision. We should be welcoming lots of different views. Though…I’m not sure whether Labour should be tolerating someone who said Mao did more good than harm..

She’s been a total liability for 15 years now. Should have got rid before the election.

This might be unpopular, but this is good. She’ll be near enough 75 by the time of the next election. A fantastic servant for her local community but we could do without geriatrics in Parliament. That goes for all of the elderly politicians who cling on for dear life, no matter the party.

If so she would just jump ship to Corbyn’s new party and likely retain her seat if she stood again. This just shows how Starmer has no one but himself to blame for the left breaking with the party. If he hadn’t expelled them and instead gave a few concessions, like in the 2 child benefit cap, they would have stayed albeit still dissenting occasionally like under Blair.

No problem.
Your Party will have a successor for Lammy’s seat when they vote that SELLOUT out at the next election.

Successor should be reserved for people who succeeded at something. What exactly did she achieve?

She’s a serial rebel, old and ill, hardly surprising.

Back benchers will pressure Starmer into letting her back into fold before the next election, its happened once before, it’ll happen again.

She’s a clown, sponged off the state for decades, achieved nothing, and can’t count.

People in Hackney love Diane, they won’t vote her out. Didn’t they realise that from the last election?

Hopefully she will be hired by Jermey Corbyn and people who actually value intelligence.
I’m sick of this right-wing bullshit. What she is saying is simply true. The truth is YES black people get treated worse by almost every culture on the planet. Not all cultures, but almost all.
I don’t care about the politics around it. Politics shouldn’t be more important than fact.

I wrote to her when I was in high school doing my modern studies project. I’m now in my forties. That’s a long stretch.
She was the only one of 4 MPs I wrote to that didn’t respond at all. I was writing about equality in the house of commons. I wrote to her as a black female in the house.
Although the title of my project was “Why are all MPs fat and forty?”

Is Diane Abbot unfairly targeted because of her gender and ethnicity? Yes.
Is Diane Abbot an extremely well qualified and accomplished person? Yes.
Is Diane Abbot loved by her constituents? Yes.
Is Diane Abbot someone who semi frequently says things that draw ire from the general public? Yes.
Is Diane Abbot someone who has said things that if said by a MP for the other party we would rightfully call them racist and call for them to lose their seat? Yes.

Presumably this makes appealing the result of the investigation absolute child’s play. The matter has been obviously pre-judged.
