I love a single chair as much as the next person but would it have killed them to put a second one in a few feet away? And perhaps a bin?

“We want somewhere for someone to sit while waiting for a bus, but we don’t want anyone loitering and certainly no homeless people sleeping on it”.

No but you don’t understand, if they made a bigger, more comfortable, more useful one, a *homeless person* might be able to use it to sleep on! We can’t have people getting *use* out of our public works!!

“It is believed by local councillors that planning permission is not required to install a single chair.”
