    1. “We are countering this together through our commitment to an international order, which is supported by the strength of the law and binding rules for all.”

      How is Netanyahu doing, Johann?

A couple comments are talking morality.  Forget about that for the moment.  The US is waging an economic war against the EU and Japan’s relationship with the US is shifting, looking to potentially begin significant distancing.  Germany needs to shore up foreign economic relationships.  How is this the message you lead with?

Past the headline it gets worse.  The trip is also to Indonesia, a country that practices non-alignment to the point of military collaboration with both sides.  Wouldn’t the smarter move to also seek a non-aligned position to say you share their values and position?

Also, just love an article that ends on a joke, “China, a major trading partner but also rival of Germany,”

Always funny to see a little guy punching up.

The way things have been going on, I don’t think China even cares about opinion of Germany. Germany should focus on reviving economy instead of starting needless confrontation at a time when USA is actively kicking EU around.

They should first stop supporting Israel and then criticize others for being aggressive.

CCP bots deflecting from Chinese aggression are strong with this one

For whatever reasons, China is still more nuanced than TerroRuzzia. The situation here is that Europe needs to find way to cooperate with China. Unlike TerroRuzzia, China has more to lose since Putler is basically worthless for Xi. Xi capitalises from current order but has no interest in changing it.

China has done a laundry list’s worth of s*** to garner the criticism.

      How much dirt just recently?

Buzzing Japan’s planes in their sovereign airspace, and invading the territorial waters are just a couple that come to mind.

I want Europe to cooperate more with Japan in the future. The 6th Generation Fighter Aircraft project is a good start, but it is not enough. Japan must be freed from the clutches of an unreliable ally like the United States.
