      Reasonable offer, we need the US for the time being,we are not that powerful now.But,we also need to become self sufficient in the defense sector,until then I find it beneficial that we try to please Trump,even if we don’t agree with him politically.

      US has 6000 Abrams M1 in storage, it sold/donated 40 to Ukraine.
      US has 1000+ F16 fighters in service/storage, it sold/donated ZERO to Ukraine.
      It does not seems to be a question of availability or money.

      If true, this is Ukraine’s offer and Zelensky already got the EU+UK to sign off before volunteering their money.

      Pragmatically, Europe splitting $100 billion (timeframe?) in protection money to Trump/the US would still be less than probably hundreds, plural, of billions of euros/pounds Europe would end up having to spend to protect Ukraine by themselves.

      Europe from hereon MUST continue to (re)build its defense capabilities to eventually wean itself away from America but Europe is not there yet now. So this is why, with a transactional US president, we find ourselves in this situation.
