Mi rendo conto che una pace giusta per l’Ucraina è molto improbabile, ma penso ancora che sia importante mettere le cose in prospettiva. La Germania avrebbe dovuto essere dato un quarto della Polonia nel 1945?

I mean Germany lost, I don’t think it’s comparable.
I agree but it’s a sign of how far we are from the end, unfortunately
To expell people from their land is never just.
What is this? Do you remember that Moscow and Berlin were allies at the beginning of WW2, and carved up Central and Eastern Europe between them?
Czechoslovakia did not gain any territory when it was liberated. Why is it even on this map?
Poland even lost territory at the end of WW2. Pre-war Poland had more territory than post-war Poland.
Moscow forced the Poles out of Eastern Poland, and annexed the territory, to keep his gains from the Soviet-German alliance. Then “compensated” Poland with territory by ethnically cleansing it of Germans.
So the Soviets, the aggressor who invaded Poland 2 weeks after the Germans, *was* rewarded.
Why would you want promote these Soviet atrocities as some sort of a role model for Ukraine?
This post is dumb cause first of all ukraine does not need or want russian lands
Second of all does punishing by taking land that actually belongs to the country from a culutural and political standpoint is not always smart and already was the breeding ground for conflicts
As we can see in germany in my opinion ww2 would not have started when they where not treated this harsh
And also the best even possible outcame that is still sadly highly unlikly woulf just be ukraine getting there land back
This is idiotic. At best it’s misguided and at worst this post is subversive Russian propaganda.
One is peace and one is defeat. The second one would require the defeat of Russia, and that would require a much more support and many more lives lost. I’m not sure the will is there, even among Ukraine’s strongest allies.
Extremely sad, unfair situation. Ukraine should’ve been allowed to keep their nukes and this would have all been avoided.
Poland only got that territory in exchange for territory USSR took from them. Also deporting Russians would probably be frowned upon.
Let’s ignore the fact Poland lost territory overall because of wwii.
And so did Czechoslovakia
Wwii saw the countries who got invaded lose out in the peace and be turned into Soviet puppets.
A real equivalent with Ukraine would be losing Crimea and western Ukraine only to receive a much smaller concession from russia.
Good OC, OP. You are the OG.
Shouldn’t the Circassians get independence?
“Trumps peace plan” is literally Putins demands.
I agree but I think the thing is to show territory does not change hands through war. Make them pay out the nose, but leave Russians to their shithole
I say in a perfect world Ukraine would gain all of Russia between Ukraine and Kazakhstan and claim its place as Cossakstan, while the Dagestan and equivalent mountain regions are let go as a separate state. I see no problem with this plan /s
(this would both connect Kazakhstan to Europe without Russia being in between, cut off Russia from the Caucasus, provide Ukraine with the rest of the Donbass industrial region left on the Russian side of the border, allow for the restoration of Circassia as a fun project on the side, and deprive Russia of its best farmland removing its agricultural blackmail)
Interesting, why is the lower right map cut off? I can’t see Lwów, that’s probably just an oversight right?
