The euro delta is just one source of light, amazing! Insane to think that northern France, western Germany, southern Holland and almost all of Belgium, is just 82.000 km2 (similiar to Austria or 1/5 of California) but with a population of 44 million people.

    9. I hate our greenhouses with a passion. It used to be such an alienating experience, to cycle home from going out in my teen years. It’s endless fields of light pollution.

Shame so much of Europe is cropped out

    13. Fake map, just looked outside it’s not that bright in the Netherlands.

I find it reassuring that the places where Europe was born, Athens and Rome, still shine brightly into the good night.

See where civilization has thrived on the continent! Look at the unexpected brightness of Poland!
