I fly with ryanair fairly often, it’s pretty much the only airline I use for travelling around Europe, never had any major issues, certainly never got hit with any extra fees or anything like that though I am careful not to exceed the baggage limit and always check in online. Eir (well the old Eircom at least) and sky I had my fair share of issues with and they can both go fuck themselves as far as I am concerned.

Eir non-discounted (so actual) broadband price is scandalous. Getting rid of them is the biggest pain in the ass. Makes sense.

I honestly know no one that has anything good to say about Eir. We had a landline until last year – my wife insisted on it for some reason, don’t ask why – and they spelled my first name wrong. I called them to correct it, as I thought I can use their invoices as proof of address, but this simple task of changing an “r” to an “l” turned into a Lord of the Rings epic. Finally canceled the line in November…..

Ryanair is fine at least if you do everything correctly. It’s not possible to have a normal experience with the broadband cartels like Eir and Vodafone under any circumstances.
