I just found out about this on the grapevine, no official communication yet but apparently there is a picket on the first day back in school so… no school while the picket is there.
Is this not a little bit fucked up considering we’ve just dropped a ton of money on uniforms, stationery and “voluntary contributions”?

They want access to public service pensions.
If they’re full time school employees im shocked they don’t already. I can’t see anyone objecting to this.
Anyone know the reason they are not eligible for public service pensions if schoold / dept of education employees.
