There are so many places where they can meet. Putin trying to derail this by saying Moscow. But I hope Trump won’t be fooled like he usually gets by Putin
But because he has agreed to meet, it will be interesting to see how he will wiggle out of it if it’s in another country.
Encouraging, but a meeting isn’t really agreed until a time and location is set.
Putin is only doing this because he feels he has to. His goal will still be getting more time; not peace.
Dutch media are reporting Budapest was suggested by Trump. Who would have expected that, Trump suggesting a country led by another fan of totalitarianism.
Budapest my ass. I wouldn’t trust Orban. This guy would likely throw him into Pootins plane to be taken to Russia.
As a Hungarian, I hope it would not be Budapest. The last thing we need is a chance for Orbán to strut around before his braindead voters, pretending that he’s an important political player. His voting base has been losing numbers and enthusiasm, it would be nice if it stayed that way.

The West is wasting its time. Putin has invested too much blood and treasure into this war and now he cannot stop until he’s dead, in prison, or there is no more Ukraine left to conquer. Backing out of the conflict with anything less than complete victory and trying to dismantle the Russian war cult would be a death sentence for him and his regime. History has shown this again and again.

putler probably had the meeting with trump just to further delay the sanctions that would pretty much shut down his government.
I admire Zelenskyy for the major courage he has and leadership. Not a lot of people expected much of him as he became president and yet he has done everything possible to protect his people. I cannot imagine being in front of the person that has done so many atrocities and have to be diplomatic. I hope the end of putin is near.
Zelensky should absolutely not trust meeting in Budapest. Orban is firmly in Putins camp, who knows what sort of scheme he might try to hatch, potentially detaining Zelensky illegally or something
