They have built massive defense lines, giving up those to Putin for free is beyond bad. It will make Putin advance significantly if he just continues later
Slovyansk/Kramatorsk was always going to be the complete bloodbath that was going to handicap the russian military. I always thought this was going to be the area the russian military breaks. I’m not so sure anymore, but Ukraine has built this area up as a pivotal battleground for 11 years now. Russia expects Ukraine to just hand over what is probably the strongest Ukrainian citadel in “negotiations”
It doesn’t make any difference why it matters. It’s Ukraine!!! Kick Russia TF out.
