My latest: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow must be involved in decisions about security guarantees for Ukraine, calling it a “road to nowhere” without Russia’s participation and consent.

For sure they want to decide how weak Ukraine should be. It is not deal, it is surrender…

I have just one condition for Lavrov – “hang in Den Haag”.

Russia and security guarantee in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

My god his face is so annoying.

It looks like his mom had sex with a dog or a pig with those beady little eyes.

    6. They lied once 1994 about security guarantees, why should it be different this time

    7. USA: we agreed with Putin for UA to have security guarantees. They would be like NATO, but outside NATO

UA: why not NATO then if it is the same?

      USA:…

RU: We tricked USA, we want it all

USA: and let’s sing it in Bucharest!

      UA:…

The west understands too well that any agreement with Russia will not be honored, just like all the agreements that Russia has broken in the past.

The language around this needs to change.

Russia cannot be considered a guarantor of security by any reasonable definition of the term, because Russia itself is the security problem.

    10. Guarantees which involve Russia are worthless which is exactly the only kind of guarantees Russia would accept because it is their key belief that they have the right to decide what happens in Ukraine and no one else. Not Ukrainians and certainly not Europe of the US.

That is to say, that the only reasonable response to such discussions is further provision of weapons to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia, and that the only means to secure peace in Ukraine is the defeat of Russia. Preparations for any other outcome are futile without a regime change in Russia and significant reversal of the political mindset of the average Russian. Neither is likely.

Like in Budapest some time ago when ruzzia signed a memorandum that

      > prohibited Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, “except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations”

I hope lavrov and european leaders can meet and discuss those security guarantees together. I wanna grab my popcorn and watch carefully how russia makes those stupid demads in front of their faces. Its easy to make demands while you are sitting in moscow surrounded by brainwashed people.

    14. the one thing he and i agree on is that it would be a utopia if Ukraine’s security could be decided without Russia involved
