Feels gross to post the mail but they seem to be the only ones running this story, imagine if it were Muslims.

Er, aren’t they wearing baseball caps? Don’t want to doubt the story, but is this like the rowers in Great Yarmouth identified as “Channel crossing illegals” or the Boy Scouts identified as “Asylum seekers”…?

Could you imagine if it had been some people using the stones to create the crescent moon?

Who cares. Make it a tradition. People can come along and rearrange the stones into whatever religious symbol that represents them. Maybe a Christian can come along later and turn it back into a cross.

I think the distinction here is dismantling the existing symbol.
By all means make your own religious symbol out of stones, that way it can also become a permanent fixture, maybe.
