I’ve commented on this case before, but I really think Pashinyan fucked up by doing this in a way that looks nakedly political.
If he’d nationalized the grid a few years ago, I don’t think Karapetyan would have much of a case.
Instead, the government already lost the preliminary decision and is now $3.5 million in the hole in legal fees already and that amount will only go up.
Some people on this sub wanted to wave away the threat of arbitration, but it’s very obvious that Karapetyan has a strong case due to Nikol’s missteps and the government is now being forced to take it very seriously.
