I can make out a few words but that’s it – it looks “Kurrent”, the previous form of handwriting that was replaced by modern handwriting almost 100 years ago.

It does not even look like Kurrent but more like the way they used to write in the middle ages…

Have you checked if someone has already made a transcript of this text?

If it is printed in a book, it should be known well enough for someone to have made a transcript, maybe even a translation.
