Lol. Qualsiasi aiuto è apprezzato.

If you like cities go via Graz Klagenfurt Villach, if you like hiking check the other route on outdoor active or bergfex

If it’s just for lunch I’d look closer into Klagenfurt or Villach, easy to get on and off the highway and the area around the lake is really nice around this time of the year

I think on the middle road is mautern and Erzberg, google that it’s cool

    4. those lakes before salzburg on the northern route (via linz) are popular tourist destinations: Mondsee, Attersee, Wolfgangsee, Hallstätter See, collectively known as Salzkammergut. Also includes Hallstatt, a world heritage site. pretty vistas and lots of (overpriced) quick lunch stops in the area for day-tourists. don’t know much about the other two routes though

Leoben is nice for a coffee on the main square. I used to do that a lot with company when I took the train form Vienna to the south.

Otherwise it really depends on what you wanna see on the way. For eating I would prefer to always exit the highways either way. Every Gasthaus is cheaper and nicer then what you can find on the main roads.

Hinterholz. If you haven’t seen Hinterholz you know nothing of Austria.

If you get the chance / have the time Eisenerz would be worth a visit.

Just type in “Erzberg” into your search engine of choice 🙂

Your route goes through Murau, a charming little town where you can take a stroll through the town and do a tour through the local beer brewery. Can be done in 2-3 hours.

Take the tour via Linz, get off the highway at Mondsee, lunch at the restaurant “apollo mondfleckerl” but reserve a table. Beautiful!

There’s a really nice traditional restaurant in St. Georgen ob Judenburg. It’s called Gasthof Wieser.
I’m regularly driving between Vienna and Klagenfurt, and always trying to get lunch there.

    13. You can leave the motorway before the Semmering Basis tunnel right at the border of Lower Austria and Styria and enjoy the view from Semmering, nice to walk, some coffee shops and not too much rerouting.

I can recommend the green lake. It is the most beautiful lake in Austria. They call it “Grüner Sea”
