Another instance where Russia blatantly refuses to negotiate, even though Trump is always easily fooled into believing he’s like 5 seconds from getting them to end the war.
It’s completely the same with that new excuse of theirs for refusing to make any deals about ceasefires or peace, with them arguing that Zelenskyy is technically over his presidential mandate (it’s due to the war, and iirc pretty much the entire Ukrainian government agreed to let him stay until the war ends). Because Putin is definitely a legitimate president, of course. In fact, he’s so legitimate that he always wins 104% of the votes.
Anyways, this is just another attempt to stall negotiations and to fool the US government into believing that the problem is on the Ukrainian side, which is probably almost guaranteed to happen.
Ruzzia is caught up in the war. If they stop, Putin and his gang will probably suffer liquidation (nice), so they can’t stop now. It’s either a win or death. So hang in the Ukraine and Europe, man up FFS.
And yet JD Vance said Russia has made significant concessions.

He says stuff like this daily. His literal job is to make most extreme statements, to make Putin seem “more reasonable” one in Kreml.

Its really too bad Europe has done way too little to solve this problem for themselves. Still waiting for the US to solve their problems. Hint, they wont.
Yet russian terms basically mean it ceases to exist anyway. Either now or during the next offensive in less than a decade.
Russia can exist only when they end the war on NATO and Ukraine’s terms.
That means “exists as a title for Russian proxy”. And those people have audacity to talk about “USA external control and color revolutions”
To be fair here, publicly negotiators should make all cards seem valuable, because concessions are meant to happen during negotiations.
If Trump agrees to take the NATO card off the table, it can’t be traded for some other concession during negotiations.
