I read that headline in Donald Trump’s voice
The deposit return scheme has been extraordinarily successful. What I can’t understand is that even though it only applies to plastic bottles and aluminium cans that we’re seeing a huge reduction in other forms of litter as well. Is it that if you sort the bottles and cans littering that people are less likely the discard food wrappers, crisp packets, etc?
Great. Heard your man on radio 1 this morning saying it and was actually startled to hear someone on Irish radio say and I quote ‘it’s actually great news’.
Presenter was flummoxed and tried to hone in on the three beaches that didn’t get passed as clean but he was having none of it.
Fair play everyone and keep up the good work.
Surprised to see Tramore achieve “clean” status as anytime I’ve visited this season there has been a lot of rubbish (anything from nappies, clothing, cans, takeaway, plastic toys etc) left along the beach.
Lovely to see good news for a change 🙌🏻
