Thats a good example of why interviews of Irish politicians done by Irish journalists are boring af. Once they would start to ask some uncomfortable questions that go beyond keeping up a facade of integrity, their editor-in-chief, director, publisher etc. would call em back. Because they either went to school with the politician, their families are friends, his brother goes golfing with the lads uncle or some other shite reason. We’re a small country and it’s all interconnected. And we don’t like causing offense or discomfort. But it needs to be done, Bernie for example has caused A LOT of discomfort for a lot of people
