Does that account for inflation though?
Thing about the Celtic Tiger was everyone seemed to be flying, seemingly doing well.
This time, it’s people extracting vasts sums of money from us – and it’s making their way into distant lands via investment funds and REITs… just sad.

By “open market” i assume they mean advertised of Daft.
But what % of rentals even make it to daft these days?
Around here anyway letting agents have lists of pre screened renters who they offer properties to.
They have no need to go through the expense of advertising on daft.
Rents this high can’t continue without massive increases in pay. One or the other has to change.
I myself keep Air BnBs in Dublin, Castlebar and Brussels.
