    1. It feels like we’re at an important crossroads for the EU. If they can’t agree to do everything in their power to stop a genocide then is it really an organization we want to be part of going forward? Not only are they doing nothing to stop it, but some member states are actively helping with the genocide. The EU has been great for Ireland, but if they don’t do something about this soon then I could see it being the beginning of the end for the EU.

So do something as the Irish government. Complain that the large org doesn’t do anything, but at the same time:
      – Doesn’t pass the OPT
      – Doesn’t press Central Bank to stop selling bonds

‘They should do something’ you are in government you are ‘they’.

In my own capacity as an individual I have:
      – Assisted with aid for Gazans newly arrived in Ireland
      – Marched in Galway, Cork, Dublin and Limerick
      – Protested in Shannon airport
      – Messaged and emailed my TD’s

But to be honest, even that doesn’t seem to have done much (save point 1).

So it sickens me to see someone with incredible power say, ‘Oh someone should do something’. Has the vibes of someone who’d film a car accident saying, ‘Someone should call the ambulance’.

    3. I think Simon now has some humanitarian work to do at home if you look at recent news. The politics of distraction ain’t gonna get him off the hook.

“We’ve done nothing and we’re out of ideas”

Apart from protest’s too, things have not gone well in terms of action against Israel. I did a deep dive yesterday into the boycotts from everything I could think of. From coke to McDonald’s to even services provided, there’s been literally an immeasurable negligible difference in business with all of them.

Fine Gael action on Israel is overdue. Do they think we buy their lines about why the OTB isn’t here yet?

Wow he is doing so much to distract from the Spina Bifida issue. People need to protest on the first day the Dáil is back, otherwise it will be swept under the carpet.

In 2014 Sweeden recognised the State of Palestine, it took Fine Gael another 10 years to do the same even though it had overwhelming public support.

They have also done everything possible to impede and water down the OTB.

History will remember the rotten role that Harris and his party have played in facilitating the oppression of the Palestinian people.
