Excellent article on the overall state of protection of rivers in this country. Well noted that the issues along the coasts were mentioned also. You can read the same story across all ecosystems in Ireland. Wetlands, rivers our oceans and forests the level of ecosystem protection we have in Ireland is completely ineffective. Stronger laws and enforcement is desperately needed.
