It means it’s a “guarantee” worth less than the paper it’ll be symbolically signed on. Zelensky should use the proposal for toilet paper, and not a very good one at that

It’s like the Budpaest memorandum. We promise you we will protect you, without making direct promises.

So when Russia invades again, we will just give you weapons for the first year of a future invasion, and then our politicians will get tired and start complaining about giving Ukraine too much money. And we will claim this is enough to meet our security gaurantees.

It’s diplomatic nonsense. Delay, deflect, waffling nonsense.

Ukraine needs nuclear cover or capability, unless Ruzzia unravels completely. If it becomes a few smaller countries, Muscovy will be less significant. Ukraine & the rest of Europe (wider than the EU) needs to form a new security alliance. The USA looks like it has internal problems & has become unreliable. Tectonic plates are shifting, geopolitical changes are underway.

Means no NATO, Ukraine should be the only body to govern and direct its own path with absolutely no outside interference like whats happening now, Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Ukraine should be made NATO member as soon as the last Russian nazi soldier has left the country. That’s the only way to make sure Putler never invades again. Glad Sweden and Finland have joined.

It’s a signed sheet of paper that my government will shred the second it becomes inconvenient.

The only “Security Guarantee” worth a damn right now is Russia’s defeat.

Isn’t it obvious? It’s like NATO’s article 5, only the US won’t help.

      It’s like a Temu item.

Looks the same, but breaks the second you try to use it.

It’s printed on a roll of toilet paper. They hold it at the morgue to wipe your dead a$$ when the Russians try to kill again.

I imagine its like when I say Ill take up jogging and when the time comes to do so, i walk to the fridge and get a beer and say “next time, trust me”

Same as the 1992(?)one, when they gave up their nukes? I would demand full membership as well.

The only thing that would hold Russia back is article 5 , and im no longer convinced about the US standing up even fir that. Even the only treaty member to invoke it was…. . guess who???

      The fucking US.

As bleak as it sounds I honestly think Ukraine is going to have to fight until Feb 2029 and hope the next president will do a full court press to put them in nato

It means nothing. The US is not to be trusted at this point and the EU needs to grow a pair.

It’s just like the last security guarantee Ukraine got.
