E sappiamo che a causa del prezzo e della convenienza, molti ciprioti scelgono di volare da Ercan agli Stati Uniti tramite Istanbul.
La mia domanda è: quando passi attraverso le porte a nord, tecnicamente non lasci l’isola e quando torni da Ercan, sulla carta, sembra che tu voli in altri paesi senza lasciare l’isola.
Mia moglie è russa e ha lasciato l’isola da nord. Sono volato fuori da Larnaca nel 2022, ed entrambi tornammo da Ercan.
Quali problemi può creare questo? So che non ci sarà alcun problema per me, ma non è cittadina.

It mostly causes problems for people from non-EU countries who would be classed as having never left and therefore technically overstayed their visa (or visa free travel period).
Apart from the fact that you are using a non-recognised airport (you never know what can happen in security/customs etc) there should be day to day problems.
However if your wife wants to apply for cypriot citizenship in the future she will not be able to get one.
This is because one of the conditions of getting one is to not have an illegal entry or exit into the republic, and the airport is considered as one.
Suprisingly, KYP (Cypriot Intelligent Service) usually finds out the illegal entries/exit upon the submission of the citizenship application.
