And it never will be because some sections of the UK just go loopier than a Thorpe Park rollercoaster whenever Brexit is mentioned.

“Never debated properly” may well be the political understatement of the decade. Better late than never we need to drag all the Cake and eating it nonsense out into the daylight and have a proper conversation at last.

There was nothing to be done. The lies were too big and bold and could only be proven post brexit.

Ofcourse it wasn’t, leave campaign dod nothing but lie and make false promises. If we did the referendum again with a well informed public they’d never have voted for it!
There would be a small and loud brexit die hards that would cause social instability ofcourse but the majority of people were much happier inside the EU.

It absolutely was. There were days of tv debates, hundreds of articles. The long-term economic peril was explained in exhaustive detail.
I was initially somewhat in favour of leaving but changed my mind after listening to expert opinion.
Of course the majority decided to listen to the sort of person who wrote this
You mean all the people who voted based on the side of a bus didn’t debate the issue?

While I believe we should of never left, we honestly have a bigger problem right now.
The EU was so much more than just a big open Market, it was a social ideal, to truly destroy borders and make efforts to mitigate the divides that being in a different country can cause.
Until we realise this, and have a significant cultural and political shift, we have no place in the EU.
